Company HistoryCompel is a privately held, independent Canadian company, founded in 1986, by Christopher Robitaille, President and CEO. The company has its roots as a repair center for circuit boards specializing in the repair of terminals, microcomputers, printers and monitors. This repair service remains a specialty and Compel maintains a substantial repair facility at its data center in Toronto.Compel’s scope and depth of IT services has continually expanded, and the company grew to become a significant Value-added Reseller for a variety of computer hardware and software products. Expertise in network implementation followed, and Compel has developed a full range of services dedicated to design, implementation and support of sophisticated, mission critical networks for its clients. As expertise in industry verticals increased, Compel was increasingly asked to support total solutions implementations, including industry specific application software, from vendors such as A&L Medical Systems, Constellation Home Builders (formerly Newstar Solutions and Minicom before that), Yardi Systems and Paul Davis Systems. Located in Markham, Ontario, Compel is a Canadian owned private company. In an ever changing, knowledge based industry; we continue to demonstrate our commitment, reliability, dedication and experience in the Information Technology Sector. As a System Integrator and authorized Reseller, we provide sales, services and support of Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and Wireless Network Solutions. Our services also include Internet Deployment; Internet Security; Hardware sales or upgrades; Software sales or upgrades; Onsite Field or In-Shop Repair Services; Network Administration and Application Training and Complete Data\Phone Line Cabling services. Although this is still a part of our business, we expanded our operation in 1989 to become a Value-Added Reseller of a wide variety of Authorized Hardware and Software products. And we have been continuing to evolve into System Integrators of a wide variety of Software products including the A&L Medical System, Q.W. Page (NewViews Accounting), Microsoft, Symantec, Corel and others. In addition, we install and support various Operating Systems including Microsoft Products, Novell, VMware and others. Our market covers organizations and national companies centered in Toronto and the surrounding area. We have successfully implemented and currently support Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95(98) and Novell Local Area Networks (LAN's) for both industry and government. Our main vertical market is the Real Estate building and rentals. Our Real-Estate clients include property management and homebuilders. Compel is a preferred network infrastructure supplier of Constellation Home Builders and Yardi Property Management.
